- International Visitors Programming Intern:
This internship is a unique opportunity for you to expand your knowledge of global diplomacy, international culture, and the diverse work of the vibrant organizations in the greater Sacramento region that attract nearly 500 international delegates each year. Interns in this position support the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program that seeks to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and other nations through carefully designed short-term visits to the U.S. for current and emerging foreign leaders.
- Events and Communications Intern:
One of the primary functions of the NorCalWTC is to foster international trade connections with local businesses in Northern California. Interns in this position will help with the development and production of events and communications through social media, community outreach, and additional programs support. Interns in this position will have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of NorCalWTC events and programs.
- Trade Programs Intern:
One of the primary functions of the NorCalWTC is to foster international trade connections with local businesses in Northern California. Interns in this position will focus on helping the organization meet its goals and objectives related to member services, event and program marketing, trade research, and business development. Interns in this position will have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of NorCalWTC events and programs.
About the Internship Program:
Interns at the Northern California World Trade Center will expand upon their educational backgrounds while gaining valuable real-world experience and strong professional connections. Interns are welcome to coordinate with their university advisers to receive course credit for working with the NorCalWTC.
Three-month minimum with at least 12 hours a week in the office. Strong communication skills are essential. Knowledge of social media and web design, foreign language experience and degree or field of study in international relations, economics, policy, business or marketing are a plus. These positions are unpaid unless otherwise specified.
