Trade Mission Archives
Turkey 2006

The California World Trade Centers organized a trade mission to Turkey in conjunction with the World Trade Center Association's annual General Assembly in Istanbul. This yearly global trade conference is an excellent opportunity for firms looking to expand globally. Companies made valuable trade and business contacts with companies from all regions of the world while exploring the ancient city of Istanbul and the historic wonders of this former center of the Ottoman Empire.

Ireland 2006

The World Trade Center and the Sacramento Metro Chamber led a 33-member delegation to Dublin, Ireland from April 7-15, 2006. Participants met with high-level business and government leaders during this weeklong in-depth look at how Ireland became the "Celtic Tiger". A highlight of the trip was a reception organized by the US Embassy  featuring Northern California wines.

Mexico 2000

The World Trade Center hosted a mission to four states in Mexico. Sixteen participants visited Mexico City, Toluca, Cuernavaca and Taxco from October 21-29. The participants met with local businesses in each city and gained great insight. Renate Voelcker of Wolf Environmental Lining Systems stated, "From a consultant's point of view, the contacts we made were worth more than $10,000!"

China 2000

The World Trade Center hosted a trade mission to several provinces in China from August 28 through September 11. Several local companies accompanied the WTC to Xinjiang, Guangdong and Shanghai. WTC arranged KXTV cameras to be allowed into China through its contacts in China and the Chinese consulates. The KXTV Channel 10 China trade special aired in October.

Italy 2000 The World Trade Center Association Spring Assembly 2000 was a huge success! This year all 350 World Trade Centers met in Trieste, Italy. Each center invited local businesses from their home countries who then met with the companies representing other World Trade Centers. This generated opportunities for companies to meet with 350 different countries!

Philippines 2000 The delegates participating on the Trade Mission to the Philippines visited over 4 cities, including the Puerto Princessa City, Manila and Clark Air Force Base. Individual and group meetings were scheduled to fit the delegates' needs.
